Amy Wirtz is a Senior Family Enterprise Advisor who was named Exit Planner of the Year in 2024. She is passionate about helping families develop and define their purpose. She works closely with families to identify their goals around values, ownership, and financial wealth. Amy helps families establish family offices, councils, and enterprise governance systems to support these goals.

Amy’s role as an advisor is to educate families and business leaders on options and support systems available to assist in their continued growth and aligned vision. It is the family’s role to align on and select the options that best fit their needs. Once the family is aligned on their decision, Amy assists the family, owners, and leadership team in developing their implementation plan and ensuring it stays on target.

Amy brings a diverse range of education and experience to family enterprises, including a bachelor’s degree in secondary education and a law degree. She served as a lawyer for 27 years, with the last 10 years practicing collaborative law. In addition, Amy is a trained mediator and skilled facilitator with expertise in conflict resolution, communication, and listening.

Utilizing her expertise, Amy helps families identify their unique interests, goals, and plans for transferring values, wealth, ownership, and leadership of their various family and business systems.

She serves on multiple family business advisory boards located in Ohio. She frequently teaches and speaks at business forums, including YPO, YPO Family Office, Private Company Governance Conference, and The Exit Planning Institute.

Mindy provides financial due diligence, quality of earnings (QoE) analysis and transaction advisory services to private equity firms, strategic buyers, lenders and investors, as well as owners and sellers of privately held companies. As a partner in BMF’s Transaction Advisory Services practice, she works closely with clients and deal teams throughout the transaction lifecycle, helping them understand the financial performance, risks and opportunities underlying a transaction and providing practical insights to support informed investment decisions.

Mindy has extensive experience evaluating historical and projected financial performance, normalized EBITDA, working capital, cash flow and other key financial considerations in both buy-side and sell-side transactions. Her experience spans a broad range of industries, including manufacturing, distribution, consumer products, retail, professional services, technology and other middle-market businesses. She brings a practical, hands-on approach to diligence, working collaboratively with management teams, investors and other advisors to identify the key issues that matter most to a transaction.

When she’s not working on a transaction, she can often be found tending to her bee hives, spending time with her family or enjoying the outdoors.

Warren Philipp is a Managing Director with Hylant’s M&A | Transaction Solutions team. In this role he is responsible for business development efforts targeting firms and companies that require buyside risk diligence and the placement of transactional risk products such as Representation and Warranty Insurance, Executive Risk Programs (D&O) and other risk transfer solutions that clients might need to facilitate the closing of M&A transactions.

Warren is a uniquely experienced executive with a demonstrated track record of success within the investment banking and asset management industry having been a Partner in a merchant banking firm he co-founded as well as a Managing Director within the Investment Bank at JP Morgan.
